Son of Sam and Me ( June, 2008)- I found a prison Polaroid of David Berkowitz and a cell mate. Initially, I just did a silk screen shirt ( see Buy It-Shirts). Later, I thought it might be interesting to use the silk screen in a series. For this one I added cross stitch. The 'ever' was done in a type face I designed for an alphabet show- 'SkullStitch'.

Godzilla, Mothra, the Son of Sam and Me (August, 2008)- This piece is embroidery and screen print. This is part of the 'Son of Sam and Me' series. I'm afraid the possibilities are truly endless. I've thought of pairing them up with all the super villians, my family, dogs,aliens, the former cabinet,.... With modern wide spread media, someone like the 'Son of Sam' was able to really hold a city at bay in a similar way to how fictional monsters were able to terrorize Japan.

OOOH YEAH! (November 2008) This is a combination screen print and cross stitch. The screen print is of Jim Jones from some of the final photos of him. I found those final pictures interesting because of the manic quality of them. My grandmother had cross stitch pictures in her kitchen with all kinds of cliche phrases on them. I like the idea of taking a medium that is very 'Hang in there'-flowers-kittens and making it really twisted.
